On June 28, 2023, "Made in Zhejiang" Vehicle Universal Joint Ball Bellow(Rubber) Standarization Kickoff Meeting was held at Jiebao Vibration Control System. The meeting also functions as a production verification meeting and seminar on Bellow. 

Participants are from walls of life . They are  leaders and/or scholars from Shanghai Jiaotong Univeristy, Guangsheng Wenzhou, Ningbo Guangming Rubber, Huayue Inspection, GB committee, Zhejiang Rubber Industrial Association, Ninghai Auto Part Association and Ninghai Marketing Admin Burea, as well as Ningbo Tuopu.

Mr. Zhu Laijun, general manager of Jiebao VCS chaired the meeting as a keynote speaker. 

Universal joint-ball bellow( the Bellow), is an important part  in a vehicle propeller shaft assembly intended to cover the universal joint ball as a protective element. 

The functions include:  container of the grease, preventing grease from blooming and materials (dust, sand and other material) from incoming axis universal joint ball for better function and service life; resistance the torque and deforming sourced from the continuous movement of axial shaft and wheels. Last but not least, it is resistant from extreme temperature and erosion. 

However, the bellows popular in Chinese market do not have a  yardstick to follow  with different layers of quality. The NG parts are subject to breakage, and shorten service life of the shaft assembly itself as as result of crash from the universal joint ball or the shell and axis. Therefore,  it is necessary to put in place a set of criteria with regard to the material function, finished part function of the bellow to fill in this industrial and even domestic blank. With  the guideline for the bellow function and  quality, it is aimed for a better quality and function with longer service lifetime. What's more, it also contributes to a material saving and green energy. Last but not least , it can work as a replacement of foreign conunterpart with better general performance. 

There is non criteria available for the vehicle universal joint-ball bellow (rubber) . Most of the companies in China just apply for the respective corporate standards with varied guidelines. By contrast, the international competitors are becoming a leading player in performance and undergoing upgrading. Therefore,  the new Made-in-Zhejiang Standard is the only way for us to compete in the inernational market with strengthened performace. 

Partly based on the SAE J2028 FD constant velocity universal bellow, the given new standard is intended to raise the yardstick of critical indicators. They result in filling the industrial gap of Chinese market as an ideal methods to verify the general functionl of vehicle universal joint-ball bellows.

Jiebao VCS is confident in this Made-in-Zhejiang Bellow Starndardization Preparation given its past experience. It used to draft the  Automobile Timing Belt Fatigue Test Method (GB/T18183-2017）for six items. What's more, it is a member of Zhejiang Rubber and Plastic Material and Finished Product Standarization Comittee and Timing Belt Standarization Committee.
