If your car is creaky upon uneven road in cold winter, it is very likely that the anti-vibration element is the troublemaker. 

" The ageing and hardening of rubber parts usually causes the noise, as pointed out by Mr Tang Yongjun, vice president of Ningbo Jiebao Group. Mr Tang is very familar about the rubber-borne noise issue, who has devoted himself to the domanin for nearly 4 decades.  Started from processing with customer's drawing, the Group has now emerged as one of the trustworthy partners of Hongqi, Shanghai VW and many other leading car makers . The output records 400 million CNY with its synchronmously developed parts. 

Tiny as they are, the rubber anti-vibration parts play a critical role in safe and comforable driving.  There are around 50 to 60 pieces of anti-vibration parts around a vehilce. 

How does an anti-vibration part work? In a word, it is designed to make the driving more comfortable thanks to the natural elasticity of rubber to absorb the violent external force. So the parameters of rubber themselves are crucial. " Different anti-vibration parts around a vehicle have different formulations. Take the anti-vibration parts around the engine for example, they shall function well at extreme high temperature beyond 100 ℃, while those counterparts around joints shall be more flexible." as the VP mentioned. Therefore, Jiebao Group has been put in place a R and D team with around 100 employees.,one sixth of the company's employees. " And we also put in place a  R and D center as well as formulation lab valued at 60 to 70 million CNY with annual  captial input of 20 million and more .  What's more, the R and D input stands 5.3% of the total output value this year. " added by Mr Tang. 

Jiebao Group  has made ceaselss efforts in R and D with the aim to be a leading player in the industry. "Take the service life parameters for example,  our parts can work well 50% and above longer than imported competitors. The standard life cycle of VW car is 180,000 kilometers,  while our rubber parts can sustain to 220,000 kilometers and beyond." said Mr Tang proudly.  Jiebao Group owe its popularity among major car markes to its powerful R and D capability. 

Recently, Jiebao Group has developed a powertrain vibration control system along with Hongqi for the latter's new model. In Mr. Tang's opinion, the latest developed parts has striken a balance between best material parameters and actual efforts. " Many paramters are mutually contradictory.  Take the deformation of rubber parts for example, the anti-vibration function gets better when the hardness is lower and the compression set tends to get higher.  However, the durability will get worse. On the other hand, if the hardness reaches its maximum and become the most durable, but the compression set is likely to below the standard. Apart from that, the external environment may impact the part parameters. "  said by Mr Tang.  That is why every product  developed by Jiebao Group shall be continually tested and adjusted for a duration of one year and more. 

During the one test after another, Jiebao Group has become critical to itself with regard to the test standards.  The warranty has risen from the original 60,000 kilometers for 2 years to 100,000 kilometers for 3 years so much so that the warranty has reached to 400,000 to 600,000 kilometers for ten years in the latest signed contracts. " This basically equals to the same service life as that of the vehicle or life-time warranty." said Mr Tang proudly. This is very import as the industry entry threshold gets higher and higher among the red sea of competition.
